Address by The Hon. Colin Riley, Minister of Health and Social Development, Montserrat Chairman of COHSOD to the Opening Session Of the Twenty-Sixth Meeting of The Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD)

It is indeed a privilege for me to address this opening session of the Twenty- Sixth Meeting of COHSOD in my capacity as Chairman of the Council. We are gathered here over the next two days to consider important matters related to the development of our region. The focus of the Meeting is on Labour and Gender Issues, issues which lie at the very heart of our development.

Equal and equitable gender participation under CSME should be ensured – Secretary General LaRocque

Those were sentiments expressed by Secretary General of the Caribbean Community Ambassador Irwin LaRocque on Wednesday as he addressed the opening ceremony for the Twenty-Sixth Meeting of the Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) which is being held at the CARICOM Headquarters in Georgetown, Guyana.

Labor and gender take center stage at Twenty-Sixth COHSOD
