CDB to establish first country office in Haiti this year

The Barbados-based Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) will establish its first country office in the Republic of Haiti later this year.

FAO and CDB Sign Framework Cooperation Agreement

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) have signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement for the Bank to approve a grant of US$1.2 million for the FAO to implement a cassava project in Dominica, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.

Titled: ‘Cassava Industry – Market Assessment and Technology Validation and Dissemination’, the project is to facilitate the testing of improved cassava varieties and production systems, and conduct market assessments.

Guyana signs CXC and MASA Agreements

Guyana signed the Revised Agreement Establishing the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) and the CARICOM Multilateral Air Services Agreement (MASA) during the 29th Inter-Sessional Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting in Haiti, Tuesday.

Foreign Minister Hon Carl Greenidge, who is heading the country’s delegation to the Meeting signed the Agreements.

Barbados Prime Minister signs Agreements at CARICOM Inter-Sessional

Barbados Prime Minister Rt Hon Freundel Stuart  signed the CARICOM Arrest Warrant Treaty and the Revised Agreement Establishing the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), during the second day of the 29th Inter-Sessional Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government, at the Marriott Hotel, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Tuesday.
