Fellow Citizens of the Caribbean Community, it is indeed an honour and privilege for me, as Secretary-General of CARICOM, to greet you as we celebrate today, 4 July, CARICOM Day 2001, the Twenty-Eighth Anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Chaguaramas, establishing the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
