Caribbean Community (CARICOM) leaders  joined United States Vice President Joseph Biden in Washington for Monday’s Caribbean Energy Summit.

The Summit format included three panel discussions with CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque participating in the panel on “Public Sector Catalysing International Finance”.

The other panels were “Overcoming Barriers to Investment” and “Comprehensive Approaches to Energy Transformation”.  Dr the Honourable James Fletcher, Minister of Public Service, Sustainable Development, Science, Energy and Technology of Saint Lucia and Chairman of CARICOM’s Task Force on Sustainable Development, participated in the latter panel.
