The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belize, via correspondence dated 13 October 2020 to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, invited the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to field a CARICOM Election Observation Mission (CEOM) to observe the conduct of the General Elections to be held in that country on 11 November 2020.

As a result, a seven member CARICOM Mission comprising observers from - Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, and Suriname has been mounted to observe the General Elections.

The Observation Mission will be assisted by two staff members of the CARICOM Secretariat. 

The Core Group which includes the Chief of Mission will arrive in Belize on 6 November 2020 and the remaining members will arrive on 7 November 2020.   The Members of the Observation Mission will depart Belize on 13 November 2020.
