Enhancement of CSME Implementation Skills and Advocacy of CARICOM Integration through Young Professionals and Skilled Workers Programmes
The SFCICP Programme provided opportunities for the learning of best practices in the administration of the regimes of the CSME and to develop practical skills. The intention was also to have effective advocates for CARICOM integration through the exposure given to the participants.
42 border officials trained in best practices in the administration of the Free Movement Regime. Three cohorts were hosted in either Belize or Guyana in April 2025 or Barbados in May 2025.
19 Secondary School teachers from ten (10) Member States enhanced their skills in the teaching of CARICOM integration
17 of the targeted 30 Youth Ambassadors oriented to the regional integration process during 8-12 July 2024. The aim is for the young persons to become advocates for regional integration.
13 CSME Focal Points of Member States oriented to/updated on current best practices in the administration of the CSME
23 Young Professional from 12 countries benefitted from a modular, experiential training programme addressing knowledge gaps on CSME frameworks, rights, and opportunities. Through blended learning, coaching, and experiential activities, the programme fostered professional mobility, innovation, and policy engagement, preparing participants to contribute meaningfully to national and regional development agendas.
