The fisheries and aquaculture sector is a priority under CARICOM’s food and nutrition security agenda, ‘25 by 2025’ 5–7 gives its economic contribution, and critical role in increasing intra-regional trade, creating wealth and economic opportunities, and strengthening cross-border investment in food to reduce the region’s food import bill.
