About Suriname
Suriname is located on the north-eastern coast of South America, bordering the Atlantic Ocean. It shares land borders with Guyana to the west, French Guiana to the east, and Brazil to the south. The country has a narrow coastal plain where most of the population lives, while much of the interior is covered by dense tropical rainforest and savannahs. Several major rivers flow northwards to the Atlantic Ocean.
