CARICOM SG says The Bahamas’ creativity, innovation key to its success

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) As The Bahamas celebrates its fifty-second Anniversary of Independence on 10 July, Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General, Dr Carla Barnett highlighted the diligence, solidarity, creativity, and innovation of the Bahamian people as key elements of the nation’s success.

CCCCC Secures US$6.73M for Climate Resilience Projects in The Bahamas, St.Kitts and Nevis

The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) has announced the Green Climate Fund's (GCF) approval of three critical climate resilience projects for St. Kitts and Nevis and The Bahamas. The projects, collectively securing nearly US$6.73M in funding, will support national adaptation planning and climate-smart agricultural initiatives to strengthen regional resilience against climate change impacts.

CARICOM's Assistant Secretary-General for Foreign and Community Relations, Elizabeth Solomon, advocates for increased youth participation in regional development. The ASG engaged with youth in The Bahamas last week during several youth empowerment and capacity-building activities held in the margins of the CARICOM Youth Forum "One-Youth-One Voice" on Thursday, 20 March.
